Public Speeches and Debates Popper Formate

The Karl Popper Debate is a structured form of formal argumentation that fosters critical, logical, and analytical thinking and exceptional oratory skills. Participants will gain expertise in research, information retrieval, evaluation, listening, argumentative reasoning, and public speaking.

Additionally, this format emphasizes ethical standards, teamwork, the art of constructive dissent, and respect for time, providing a comprehensive foundation for effective communication and debate.

The Public Speaking and Debate School consists of three stages and participants will learn three formats of debate:

Stage One: Karl Popper’s Value Debate
Stage Two: Karl Popper’s Debate with Political Elements
Stage Three: Parliamentary (British) Debate

Anna Kurashvili

Public Speaking and Debate School trainer since 2018, debater since 2000

  • IEDA Debate and Public Speaking School Trainer
  • Master of Education Management, teacher, Karl Popper Debate Trainer and Judge since 2007.
  • A former debater herself, Anna has been successfully leading debate trainings at IEDA since 2018.

As a result of working with over 350 participants, many of Anna’s students have achieved leadership status in various debate formats.
